March saw the beginning of our World of Wonder curriculum for Children’s Religious Education. The World of Wonder curriculum, available through the UUA website, explores our seventh Principle and the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. Genevieve O’Malley Knight taught class Sessions One and Two on March 3rd and 17th, focusing on the web of life, and partnerships in nature, respectively. Celia Ellison offered related fun activities on March 10th and 24th as well as a very successful Easter Egg Hunt on the 31st.

There are really only a few more sessions remaining in our three-month program. This spring is serving as a pilot program and a chance for us to become familiar with the UUA curricula, the monthly rhythm of R.E. classes, and the amount of time needed from teachers, organizers, parents, and helpers. If you want to sample what it’s like to organize or to lead an R.E. Session, please contact Genevieve OK (genevieveaok@yahoo.com or 513-593-3275). Hopedale has some wonderful children, so it is lots of fun. (From Genevieve O’Malley Knight)
